Damon Wilson, executive director of the Democratic Foundation (NED) thanked the Albanians for the hospitality and generosity shown to the Afghan community. “We are here, as Americans and Afghans, to say thank you to the Albanian citizens. This has been a difficult year for Afghanistan. “And in a really difficult time, Albania was ready to welcome Afghans, extraordinary artists, activists who truly represent Afghanistan’s best civil society,” Wilson said.
The artists are members of the ‘Artlords’, an Afghan organization of volunteer activists and artists who convey messages of hope and peace through murals.
Well-known Afghan artist Omaid Sharifi said that the people of Afghanistan will never forget the hospitality of Albanians, who in these difficult days opened their hearts and doors. “This is a small tribute from the people of Afghanistan to the Albanians.
