The Special Prosecutor’s Office has requested the dismissal of the case against 7 former judges of the Supreme Court and the Constitutional Court with the argument that there is no criminal offense.
The former judges who resigned and were dismissed from the vetting were criminally charged by lawyer Fran Dashi for fiscal evasion and concealment of assets.
This Friday, SPAK submitted a request to GJKKO to dismiss the case. More specifically, SPAK requested the dismissal of the case for
1. Xhezair Zaganjori, former head of the Supreme Court;
2. Tom Ndreca, former judge at the Supreme Court;
3. Gani Dizdari, former judge in the Constitutional Court;
4. Edmond Islamaj, former judge in the Supreme Court;
5. Guxim Zenelaj, former judge at the Supreme Court;
6. Besnik Imeraj, former judge in the Constitutional Court;
7. Aleksandër Muskaj, former judge at the Supreme Court
The decision will be announced on July 7 at 2 p.m.
