Montenegrin Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic said on Friday that he expects the Montenegrin government to be overthrown at today’s parliamentary session.
“This government has fulfilled its mandate to the end, someone means good, someone bad. I’m happy. It is important for citizens to see that change is possible“, Abazovic told reporters in the Assembly.
He said he did not mean ugly words at the expense of the prime minister.
Abazovic said he would talk to the parliamentary majority in the event of a change of government. He said they had already had a series of interviews.
“If there is no solution, then there is a choice,” he said.
“It would be extremely irrational for the citizens to hold talks now, it should be because a new government should be formed soon“, Added Abazovic.
He said the candidate could be anyone who secures 41 votes in parliament.
“I affirm that we are ready to go into opposition,” Abazovic said.
Asked if he sees himself as prime minister, he replied that it is too early and that it would be irresponsible to talk about it.
He said he did not expect protests and that there were many more journalists in front of the Assembly than those protesting.
“The situation is normal,” Abazovic said, thanking the prime minister and speaker of parliament, who yesterday called on citizens not to gather.
On the agenda of today’s extraordinary session of the Assembly is also the initiative for a vote of no confidence in the Government.
It is certain that at least 44 deputies from the opposition and the ruling coalition “Bezë mbi Bardhë” (GP URA and CIVIS) will vote for the removal of the Government – three more than necessary for the “fall” of Krivokapiç’s cabinet.
