The target of the assassination is Dede Planaj, the son of Bardhok Planaj’s uncle who was executed a year ago in the same neighborhood with 100 bullets.
The injured is 60 years old and reportedly received two bullets in the leg and one in the arm. He is currently in the Shkodra Regional Hospital out of danger for life.
The incident happened around 22:10, while it is not yet known who the perpetrators of the event are and the police are combing the area in order to capture them.
Who is Bardhok Planaj?
Bardhok Planaj was executed with 100 bullets on the evening of April 4, 2021, where about 30 were found in his body after forensic examination. The victim was in motion by car as he was executed, in exactly the same neighborhood where his uncle’s son was shot today.
Bardhok Planaj was known in Shkodra by the nickname “Kumbari” and was sentenced in absentia in 2014 by the Shkodra District Court for three criminal offenses: “Money laundering”, “Forgery of documents” and “Illegal construction”.
He was assassinated after being chased by the victim for about 150 meters and at one point they walked parallel to him, shooting him.
Even today, the crime of a year ago against Bardhok Planaj, remains without an author as it has not yet been possible to identify and capture them.
Near the scene where Planaj was executed, a burnt car was found, inside which were found 2 weapons which are suspected to have belonged to the perpetrators.
