Specialists of the Section for Investigation of Illegal Trafficking in DVP Gjirokastra, in cooperation with the Traffic Police and the Gjirokastra Police Commissariat, following the work to crack down on criminal activity of providing assistance to foreign nationals, for illegal border crossing, for profit, based on police information, have successfully finalized the police operation “ROAD GUARD 11”, as a result of which was made in flagrante delicto the citizen IH, 60 years old, resident in Lushnja.
In the road axis Kakavija-Gjirokastra, in the place called “Kordhocë”, the Traffic Police services have made a stop sign to the vehicle driven by the citizen IH, who did not obey the order to stop. Immediately, the Traffic Police services were put in pursuit of the vehicle and in the place called “River Bridge”, Gjirokastra, they caught the citizen IH, who was transporting 6 illegal immigrants from MENA countries, for profit.
A vehicle and a mobile phone were seized as material evidence.
The materials in charge of the above citizen were forwarded to the Prosecution at the Gjirokastra Court of First Instance, for further action.
