The Minister of Interior, Bledi Çuçi paid an official visit to the United Arab Emirates. In the capital, Abu Dhabi, he met with his counterpart, Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Çuçi says that the cooperation agreement between the two countries is ready to be signed.
“A warm and friendly conversation with His Excellency Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Interior of the United Arab Emirates, with whom we discussed common issues of security and relations between our two countries. We share common challenges, but also opportunities for the future. We are ready for the signing of the bilateral agreement, for more opportunities and effectiveness in the fight against organized crime, the fight against terrorism, but also for the exchange of knowledge and modernization of technology in the State Police “, says Minister Çuçi.
According to him, the cooperation between the two countries in the field of security has an impact on the development of the economy. Minister Çuçi also mentions visa liberalization for Albanian citizens who want to travel to the United Arab Emirates.
“Our cooperation in these areas brings a positive impact in terms of the economy, to encourage investment and further development of tourism. In function of this sector of mutual interest, as we have already made a qualitative step with the flights of direct airlines, we agreed on the free visa-free movement of Albanians to the United Arab Emirates “, said Minister Çuçi.
