Minister of Education and Sports Mrs. Evis Kushi in the evening hours has published a status regarding the impact that the flood situation has had on schools in certain areas.
She urged students, parents and teachers to be careful in the areas affected by the floods, while declaring the names of schools that tomorrow will not be able to open their doors until the situation normalizes.
Full status of Minister Kushi:
Dear students, teachers and parents,
We are carefully following the situation created in the Region of Vlora and that of Fier by the heavy rains of recent days, which have caused the rivers to overflow and flood in some areas around them.
The local pre-university education offices in cooperation with the relevant civil emergency headquarters are closely following the situation created in the schools located in these areas.
To avoid any risk, the Ministry of Education and Sports decided that teaching should not take place in the following schools, until the situation improves:
Haj Gymnasium “Hajredin Beqari”, Selenica
9 9-year school “Todi Koceli”, Selenica
V Subordinate school of primary education “Sile Hoxha”, Rroma
9 9-year school “Sabri Pelivani”, Karbunarë
9 9-year subordinate school “Thoma Sema”, Ferras village.
I would ask you to be as careful as possible during your movements until the situation in the flooded areas improves.
