The Serbian newspaper “Kurir”, a media outlet affiliated with the ruling party of President Aleksandar Vucic, claims that the Kosovo Police is preparing an operation in the north with its special forces.
She writes that special units of the Kosovo Police are staying in the southern part of Mitrovica since this morning.
He even points out that the police forces have stopped at the Belvedere special police base with around 100 armed members who are on alert.
“Kurir” talks about three special police cars in the area while saying that another unit was sent from Prishtina.
In October, authorities in Kosovo launched an anti-smuggling operation in several municipalities in the country, including North Mitrovica.
The operation was followed by violent protests by local Serbs. Clashes between police and protesters injured 20 people, including police officers.
