Gjirokastra Police has successfully finalized the operation codenamed “GREEN SEED”, as a result of which 2075 seeds suspected of the narcotic plant cannabis sativa, a quantity of suspected narcotic substance cannabis sativa, 1 shotgun, cartridges, 1 vehicle were seized and 4 mobile phones.
Thus, father and son were handcuffed, and another citizen was prosecuted.
“The arrested are: F. Sh., 57 years old and S. Sh., 26 years old (father and son), resident in the village of Çepuna, Gjirokastra. The citizen EK, 25 years old, resident in Gjirokastra, passenger in the vehicle was also prosecuted ”, police announced.
During the control exercised in the vehicle type “Suzuki”, with which the two young men were moving on the road axis Gjirokastër-Kakavija, a quantity of narcotics was found.
Following the control exercised in the apartments of the two arrested citizens were found: a hunting weapon without the relevant permit, seeds suspected of being the narcotic plant cannabis sativa, a quantity of the suspected narcotic substance cannabis sativa and a quantity of bullets.
In the quality of material evidence were seized a total of 2075 suspected seeds of the narcotic plant cannabis sativa, a quantity of suspected narcotic substance cannabis sativa, 1 shotgun, a quantity of bullets, 1 vehicle and 4 mobile phones.
The materials in charge of the above citizens were forwarded to the Prosecution at the Gjirokastra Court of First Instance, for further action.
