The tenth phase of the coded police operation “Restart”, started eight months ago, is finalized.
The operation developed by the Section for the Investigation of Illegal Traffic and Narcotics in DVP Korçë, in cooperation with AMP Korçë, the Border Police, Frontex services, Police Stations Korçë and Devoll, under the direction of the Prosecutor’s Office, to combat criminal activity in the field of distribution and trafficking of narcotics towards the Greek state.
1 citizen is put in handcuffs and 1 other is prosecuted while free.
Another 30 kg of suspected narcotic cannabis were seized.
The number of detainees reaches 23, 565.5 kilograms of cannabis narcotics and 550 grams of cannabis in the form of chocolate, seized as part of this operation.
Specialists of the Section for the Investigation of Illegal Traffic and Narcotics in the Korçë Local Police Directorate, in cooperation with the Korçë Police Supervision Agency (AMP), the Border Police, the Frontex services, the Korçë and Devoll Police Stations, under the direction of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Korçë Judicial District, following the “Restart” police operation, which started eight months ago, have successfully finalized its tenth phase, as a result of which the citizen was arrested on his own initiative:
– EZ, 24 years old, for the criminal offense “Trafficking of narcotics” remaining pending;
As the materials were referred to the Prosecutor’s Office and the criminal proceedings began in a free state for the citizen:
– AZ, 32 years old, resident of the village of Ponçare, Devoll, for the criminal offense “Trafficking of motor vehicles”.
From the totality of the investigative actions and information collected that the EZ citizen, in cooperation with other persons, carried out the illegal activity of trafficking narcotics in the direction of Greece, through the green border, the Police services organized the work and from the control exercised in near his apartment in the village of Ponçare, they found and seized 2 sports bags, with 30 kg of suspected narcotic cannabis. Also, during the search at the bar of his friend, citizen AZ, a motorcycle of the brand “Peda Tek” was found and seized, without license plates and relevant documentation, which turned out to be stolen in North Macedonia.
In cooperation with the Prosecutor’s Office, work is continuing on the complete documentation of the event.
The materials were passed to the Prosecutor’s Office of the Korçë Judicial District, for further action.
