The Democrats called the reduction of the oil price by 2 lek by the Transparency Board a mockery of the citizens.
Aldo Bumçi asked the members of this structure to withdraw as they are becoming accomplices in crime with the government.
“The Transparency Board has reduced the price of oil in the country from 240 to 238 ALL per liter. The duplicity of the boardmen of the government and the oligarchy is not a reduction, but a slap in the face to the Albanian consumer. On the international stock exchange, oil has gone to 95 dollars per barrel. The standard used by the wholesalers, allowed and blessed by the government, is indicative of mockery and greed with the citizen. Every day that passes makes the Transparency Board an accomplice in theft and the impoverishment of Albanians”.
The non-reflection of the reduction of oil in the stock market in the fuel price tables in the country, for the opposition, shows that the Transparency Board is being used by Edi Rama to justify abuses with high hydrocarbon prices.
“The board does not make transparency, but serves as a fig leaf. It does not protect the citizens, but flatters the government and the Prime Minister’s business court. With oil, food, insecurity of life and loss of hope, Albania is a country in danger. Albanians should not leave the country, but the danger”, said Bumçi.
From the first day, the opposition has opposed the establishment of transparency boards, comparing them to instruments of the communist regime.
