SPAK imposed a criminal seizure on an association created in the fall of 2021 in Albania, as there are suspicions that espionage activities are carried out through it through activities apparently with the aim of uniting Iranians in the Albanian capital and also activities apparently for the exchange of cultures between the two countries.
The decision to block any activity of this association is in the wake of 11 orders and seizures of the special prosecutor’s office that is investigating the commission of terrorist acts within this organization, which aims to harm the mujahedin in the Mek camp, with headquarters in Manzë.
The investigative actions against the association “for the support of Iranians living in Albania” are thus joined to a detailed investigation launched 3 years ago following suspicions about an Iranian cell that planned attacks during the Sultan Nowruz holiday and then escalated the actions towards the Mujahideen camp in Manza.
Through an observation of the anti-terrorist and intelligence services, the Albanian operation culminated in the declaration of non-grata of two diplomats and then of the Italian-Iranian Daniel Kasrae, suspected of being infiltrated by the Iranian intelligence ministry in the mission to observe the Mujahideen. Bijan Poladrag, who came to Albania in 2016, but then left the Mujahideen camp to continue espionage activities, was also discovered to be connected to him.
The Iranian Bijan Poladrag is currently under trial before the special court for 6 crimes, the most serious of which is the performance of services and actions with persons declared non-women, terrorist organizations and illegal wiretapping. At first, the measure against him was given by an ordinary court under the authority of SPAK, which meanwhile was following his associates at a distance, whose names were discovered on the phone he was using
The association under investigation is founded by an Albanian citizen and several Iranians, SPAK sources said, but the primary role is played by a 42-year-old from Iran. As the object of its activity, it declares the integration of Iranians and twinning between governmental organizations and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Among many investigative actions by numerous law enforcement agencies headed by SPAK, monetary values up to 10 thousand euros, a series of documents and a list of names have been seized.
