Agriculture once again in the parliament caused a debate within the majority, where Erion Braçe carries the flag of criticism.
Rebel MP Braçe, before starting to talk about the agricultural land lease contract, spoke about the increase in the costs of agricultural production.
“Agriculture is really growing. The rent of the land increased, the cost of plowing, milling, planting oil of course. The cost of irrigation increased due to the climate and the price of oil. The cost of fertilizer from the cartel increased. Well-being increased, everything increased, why shouldn’t we also increase”, he said.
This analysis was not welcomed by Krifca.
“After a presentation made by the MP, I don’t know where to get it. ”
“In the autumn of this year, we will make public a new platform with information on plots under the administration of the Ministry of Agriculture for rent, verified on the ground. There are 52 contracts with the ministry.”
But according to Braçe, not all those who have rented land from the State Fund have made a success story in Albanian agriculture.
“While I know where to get him, I will get him from the contract. A strong PD leader in the Gradisht unit has planted poplars, Madam Minister. The land has been occupied for 40 years where these poplars are on bread land that could very well be used for wheat.
Meanwhile, for the minister, even the cases of success and abuse do not bear her signature.
The contractors were signed from 2013-2020″, said the minister.
“The land cannot be a place for friends, nor for customers”, said the deputy.
“I decided to audit the rental contracts from the period 2013-2020”, said Frida.
To soften the public debate, the ministry invited Braçe to discuss these truths in her office. An invitation that was immediately rejected.
“I would have welcomed you if you could have addressed all these contract issues in my office”, said Krifca.
“I need to remind you that I do not work in the ministry. I work in parliament. The work in the ministry is directed by you. Rest assured, I will never work in that ministry”, Braçe said.
According to the minister, the exports of Albanian agricultural products are increasing, but according to the MP, the figures do not increase the profit of the farmer, but of the traders.
” Of the 40 collection points that existed in 2013, 260 of them are functioning today. 24% more exports from the last 6 months does not come by itself.”
“The exporters got that money, not the producers. Building a network of collectors is a good thing, but it should be a public good, not a private one,” he said.
