A fake lottery has recently circulated on social media, asking individuals to give their details in exchange for an iPhone.
Although this lottery is sent on behalf of the largest chain of supermarkets “Big Market”, its source is still unknown, as the Albanian company issued a public statement today distancing itself from such illegal practices and invites all customers of to be careful with their data and not to participate in this scam, which aims to steal personal data.
In the press statement, the Albanian brand “Big Market” recalled that all the lotteries it conducts are conducted legally and through official channels. Any use of their identity without approval and for dubious purposes is an illegal act, which will be prosecuted.
In addition to the old brand logo, another questionable element is the Albanian language used by this lottery, which seems badly translated and a contrived adaptation of the English language.
At the end of its call to customers, the “Big Market” brand once again reminded the users of social networks that, for any initiative or news, always verify the authenticity and the source of the information.
