The protest against the increase in prices, organized by the opposition led by the former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, has started on the “Dëshmorët e Kombit” Boulevard.
At the beginning of the protest with the motto “Albania in Danger”, the ‘anthem’ dedicated to this gathering was held, while various activists continue to give their speeches on the podium, to leave the queue after the political figures.
The podium for speeches has been set up in the square in front of the prime minister’s office. The former prime minister himself arrived at the PD headquarters around 19:00, where he held a meeting with the democratic deputies, his supporters, before heading to Dëshmorët e Kombit boulevard.
The citizens gathered in the protest, hold banners against the government in their hands, while the chants continue in the chorus: ‘We love Albania like all of Europe’.
The protest started with the two singers Renis Gjoka and Big Basta who sang the anthem of the protest “One step forward”.
The head of LSI Monika Kryemadhi, who stands by former prime minister Sali Berisha and his wife, Liri Berisha, joined the protest.
So a significant number of effectives are on the ground for the progress of the protest, while in the prime minister’s building, the doors, as in every protest, are “armored” with sheet metal.
