She is on her knees begging protesters in Myanmar not to be hit by police.
The circulating images show the nun praying to the blue forces on their knees not to shoot the young people who were protesting peacefully.
Sister Ann Nu Thaëng, has become the image of the desire for freedom in the country which is under the control of the army since February 1 and has taken the lives of at least 18 people.
The international community has repeatedly called for the release of the country’s leader and the return to normalcy. Army generals say the 75-year-old was holding power with stolen votes.
