American actress Busy Philipps was arrested Thursday while protesting abortion rights in front of the Supreme Court.
The 43-year-old wore an “I Will Aid and Abet Abortion” shirt as she was escorted by US Capitol Police to a traffic stop.
Top Albania Radio writes that Philipps posted footage of the arrest on Instagram, while writing that she was proud of civil disobedience.
“We will not back down, we will not give in, and we will not stop fighting until there is equality for all Americans.” she writes on social networks.
“I can think of no better way to use my privilege and my voice than to reinforce the message that bodily autonomy is a human right, as it is in fact exactly the same thing as the promise of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. We need to make sure it applies to all of us,” the actress wrote while calling abortion rights a ‘life fight.'”
