Ukraine has repeatedly accused Russia of stealing grain from occupied areas, which Moscow has denied, but fears of food shortages have grown, according to Sky News.
Now, Ukraine’s agriculture ministry says grain exports are down 43% year-on-year to 1.41 million tonnes in June.
However, grain exports for the 2021-2022 season ending June 30 rose 8.5% to 48.5 million tonnes, boosted by strong shipments ahead of the February 24 invasion.
