Two persons identified as Ardit Gjoni 34 years old and Hava Fuxha 64 years old, resident in Tirana have been arrested, after they were transporting narcotics inserted in the cookie bag “Cookies”.
The 34-year-old was trafficking a package of narcotics and money from England by mail, while the collaborator, a former post office employee, received the package.
As part of the “Green mail” operation, 2 packages of cannabis were seized, about 1.3 kg, as well as a sum of money.
The young man has a previous criminal record for attempted murder, while recently he was arrested in the street “Hiqmet Buzi” with the suspected package of about 1 kg and 223 gr, in hand.
During the search of his apartment, the police found and seized another package of cannabis sativa, weighing about 75 grams, a large amount of money allegedly obtained from this criminal activity and other illegal items.
Investigative actions continue to fully document this criminal activity, identify and apprehend other persons involved.
The procedural materials were forwarded to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance in Tirana, for further action.
