This is the perfect place to discuss, some of the stairs go up and some go down, we are in the middle. Some people understand it well, some others need encouragement to understand it, today the EU needs the Balkans as much as the Balkans need us.
Let me tell you that there is no better place than Austria to recover from the Brussels depression.
I can not thank the chancellor enough, for his excellent hospitality, he is sitting next to me as he sits in the Council. Albania and Austria start with the letter A, it is not a coincidence. Thank you Karl God bless you.
After these beautiful words I am afraid that I will become tied that I have to talk about the EU, I can say that I feel very sorry for it. Many people commented on what I said at the press conference as a great anger, but it has nothing to do with us but with the EU. After staying there for four hours, we felt helpless in the face of a surreal situation, where Bulgaria was taking two NATO countries hostage, in the middle of a hot war on the borders of Europe. Bulgaria lifted its veto yesterday, but this is not just about Bulgaria, there is something deep inside that is lost and needs to be recovered quickly. We hear that Putin is sick, it may or may not be true, but it does not seem that the EU is healthy. I heard from a French friend that Putin has done the opposite of what he wanted by uniting Europe and NATO, but it does not look like next winter will be easy, we should not take anything for granted.
The more people have the less they are prone to give up. I hope Ukrainians do not have high expectations for what they got under the EU, it is simply a panacea.
