A young goat cub can be declared a new world record even though it is only a few days old from its unusual ears that reach about 50 cm in length.
The goat named Simba, which means ‘plays’ in the Swahili language, was born in Karachi, Pakistan but has already turned into a famous character.
The ears of the lovely goat touch the ground when he walks.
Simba’s owner, Muhammad Hassan Narejo, said: “We hope Simba will soon become the Guinness World Record holder.”
He was born on a goat farm in the large Pakistani city of Nagra.
Goat breeding is quite widespread in Pakistan – as the animals can adapt to different terrains.
There is currently no Guinness record for long-eared goats, but there are some dogs that hold the title.
Simba’s long ears most likely come from a mutation or genetic disorder but do not appear to be associated with other problems.
Goat ears serve them to keep them cool in hot temperatures.
Temperatures in Pakistan this year appear to have risen somewhat prematurely as some areas have reported 47C since June.
