Europe is seen as a “lifeboat” by Superior clubs, as participating in the qualifying rounds provides a lot of money, which helps a lot in consolidating the teams and investing in more quality players.
This season Tirana is the team that will compete in the eliminators of the Champions League and will have the chance to collect without a doubt more than all the others, because even in case of elimination, there will be another opportunity, in the Conference League rounds.
In other words, the white and blues have 810 thousand euros safe, even in the worst combination, which is the elimination in the first round of the Champions League and in the second round in the Conference Leagues.
This is because the clubs that compete in the Champions, earn 100 thousand euros for each tour they participate in and 260 thousand euros reward, if they do not go to the group stage of any UEFA competition.
So if Tirana does not succeed in the first round against Dudelange, then it collects 100 thousand euros and plays in the second eliminatory round of the Conference League, where if it does not succeed here, it collects 450 thousand euros for participation and elimination, as well as 260 thousand euros from the Champions, as he fails to play in groups.
However, the draw has been quite generous with the white and blues, who have the chance to spend at least one round in the Champions and get even closer to the group stage of the Conference League, which would translate into millions of euros in revenue.
The other three Albanian teams, Vllaznia, Laçi and Partizani, will compete in the Conference league, while the last two start from the first round and have had a very favorable draw to advance further.
However, in the worst case, ie the elimination in the first round, Partizani and Laçi collect 250 thousand euros, which are divided into items are 100 thousand euros for participation and 150 thousand euros elimination bonus.
But if they manage to pass one round and are eliminated in the second, then they provide 550 thousand euros, which are divided into 200 thousand euros for participation, from 100 for each round and 350 thousand euros elimination bonus in the second round.
For each more round passed, the reward for Albanian clubs increases by 300 thousand euros, ie goes 850 thousand euros if eliminated in the third round and one million and 150 thousand euros if eliminated in the Play Off phase, while these figures go to millions of euros , if they manage to play in the group stage.
Not very generous was the draw for Vllaznia, which will face the Romanians of Universitatea Craiova, a team with a significantly higher budget and which comes as a favorite in this challenge, however Shkodra has their chances and will try to advance further.
However, in the worst case, the red and blues have secured 450 thousand euros, which comes to 100 thousand for the race in the second round and 350 thousand reward for elimination in this round. Even in this case, for each previous tour, Vllaznia adds +300 thousand euros to its coffers.
