Mariglen Haka, 28 years old injured today in Fushë Krujë, is not an unknown name for the State Police. In police files, he has been arrested several times for various criminal offenses, while he has been the target of armed attacks before.
The most recent assassination attempt on the 28-year-old took place in September 2019, where his aunt, 50-year-old Shpresa Basha, who protected her nephew with her body, was killed. The young man was shot with 100 bullets, while Haka had only two months to be released from prison.
Mariglen Haka ended up in handcuffs for the first time when she was 20 years old, suspected of a serious criminal offense, that of murder.
Arrest for murder in 2011
Mariglen Haka was arrested on June 29, 2011, suspected by the Tirana Prosecutor’s Office as the perpetrator of the murder of businessman NZ, on the evening of June 13 of the same year, in one of the bars in the former Blloku in the capital. Accompanied after the event, the arrested Marklen Haka denied the murder and claimed that he was not in Tirana on the day of the event. However, Haka was released after several months, after he was not able to prove the criminal offense for which he was arrested.
On September 12, 2018, Mariglen Haka was arrested together with the father of two other people, in a sensational operation, during which special forces surrounded Nikla and several other villages of Kruja, accompanying dozens of people, but who managed to found only a few unlicensed weapons. In connection with this arrest, Haka was sentenced to 1 year in prison.
With a decision dated April 9, 2019, the Court of Kruja sentenced Haka to 1 and a half years in prison, but with a shortened trial he was finally sentenced to 1 year in prison. Sentence that ended in July 2019.
