“The COVID3 team, I want to thank you that you have been facing a difficult situation for a year, it is not easy to cope with this intensity. But it is important that for no moment has there been a lack of service for the citizens “, said Manastirliu.
The Minister of Health said that the situation is delicate and appealed to the citizens to implement the antiCOVID rules, to break the chain of infection.
“We are in a delicate situation and all the commitment of the health staff is directed at providing services to these patients. There are more than 600 patients who are being treated in our hospitals, whether in the Infectious Diseases Hospital, in the hospital “Shefqet Ndroqi”, in COVID 3, COVID 4 and the regional hospitals that are already open. “But it is time for a call for people: The more careful, the fewer cases in hospitals, the fewer fatalities”, underlined Manastirliu.
Speaking about the vaccination, Manastirliu said that the doctors and nurses of COVID hospitals have been vaccinated with both doses and the vaccination of the medical staff is continuing with intensity, extending from today to Korça.
“The fact is that most of the staff of our COVID hospitals have already been vaccinated with the second dose, it makes the maximum protection. Today we start the vaccination in the center concentrated in Korça, where hospital doctors and nurses will be vaccinated, everywhere in the Korça region and we want to complete in a very short time the vaccination of our medical staff, as we have said, within two in the first weeks of March, also walking with the priority groups of the population, such as the elderly +80 years old and then to continue the vaccination of other groups “, said Manastirliu.
The Minister of Health said during the meeting with doctors and nurses that with the arrival of other doses of vaccines, the process will be intensified.
“The next shipment of Pfizer is expected to arrive on Monday, about 15,000 vaccines are coming to intensify vaccination. It is also expected that within the first 10 days of March, 14,400 AstraZeneca vaccines will arrive, through the COVAX instrument, and I believe we will have good news for other quantities of vaccines “, said Manastirliu.
Doctors and nurses of COVID 3 hospital in QSUT, appreciated the support of Minister Manastirliu and asked for the cooperation of citizens, to save the lives of family members, taking care of the prevention of COVID-19 and in case of illness, to send them as soon as possible near health facilities.
