Prime Minister Edi Rama, while speaking in the capacity of President of the Security Council, said that Albania in the UN will be at the forefront of efforts to stop crimes from around the world.
He said that the Security Council owes innocent victims to deeds and not words, where he mentioned those of Srebrenica, genocide or 20 thousand women raped in Kosovo during ethnic cleansing.
“Albania will be at the forefront of efforts to stop crime. We need to witness deeds, not words. Never again! We owe deeds and not words to the thousands of victims in Srebrenica, we owe them. Countless silent faces, who are innocent victims of sex victims. 20 thousand women raped during ethnic cleansing in Kosovo. Children whose future has been stolen by the aggressors. Denial of genocide and calls for violence should be punished after no hesitation. We owe it to our children and the children of the world. Accountability brings action to contribute to peace. Shelves are not known to belong to our country“, Said Rama.
