13 Albanians, 9 women and 4 children have been evacuated from the ISIS camp in Syria.
The Albanian citizens, whose names are not known, have been handed over to the Albanian authorities.
The good news was announced by official Abdulkari Omar through a Twitter post.
“On May 27, 2022, 13 Albanian citizens (4 women and 9 children) of ISIS families were handed over to an official delegation of the Albanian government, after the signing of the official handover document between AANES and the Republic of Albania”, wrote a senior Syrian official Dr. Abdulkarim Omar.
The American and Kurdish services have carried out the operation for the repatriation of Albanians from Syria, unlike other times when it was done by anti-terror.
