Emma spoke to ‘The Times’ about her new film ‘Good Luck to You, Leo Grande’ as she said:
I have never been offered sex scenes. As my mom said, I basically played a series of ‘good’ women and also I never adapted to the shape or appearance of someone who might want to see her naked. And by ‘they’, I mean male executives. I’m not pretty enough, I do not have the right body type and surprisingly, you are constantly told what body type you have.
In an interview I did, the reporter wrote that I had gained a lot of weight since appearing in ‘Fortunes of War’ and that my legs were ‘like tree trunks’ and that I would disappoint myself. I was 31 years old and honestly, I had no intention of starving to death. I do not think anyone understands how weak most actors are in real life. They look quite unreal.
