Pfizer has announced that its vaccines will most likely not arrive in Bosnia and Herzegovina until March, as conditions for starting orders within the COVAX system have not been met.
Pfizer officials told the Sarajevo portal that a few days ago the company had sent a letter to the Bosnian authorities warning that not all conditions for starting the distribution of the COVAX vaccine had been met.
According to Pfizer, for vaccine distribution, countries must have documentation on national vaccine regulatory approval, issued by the national regulatory agency.
Klix reminds that the competent institution in Bosnia, the Drug Agency, has not approved Pfizer and there is no document that relies on the approval of the vaccine of this company in the World Health Organization and the like.
“We (Pfizer and COVAX) will work with the government on the necessary steps to enable supplies to resume as soon as possible. The agreement with COVAX is not part of the bilateral agreement between the state of BiH and Pfizer, for which we expressed a clear goal last autumn“, It is said in the statement of Pfizer.
