Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has been named the most influential person in the world for 2022, according to a poll by Time magazine.
With more than 3.3 million votes, Zelensky came out first with 5% of the vote.
When Russian forces launched the invasion of Ukraine, Zelensky a comedy actor before being elected President of Ukraine in 2019, entered the world stage and gathered great leaders to support Ukraine.
Zelensky was followed by Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk with 3.5% of the vote.
Just last December, Musk was named the 2021 Person of the Year for life on Earth and beyond.
UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson came in third with 3.4% of the vote. Earlier in the year, Johnson faced widespread criticism after news broke that he had broken anticovid rules after hosting a birthday party at his Downing Street office in June 2020.
Behind Johnson, with 3.2% of the vote, were the white shirts for the front-line fight against COVID-19.
US President Joe Biden came in fifth with 3.1% of the vote.
The full list of 2022 TIME100 will be unveiled on May 23rd.
