Becka is a small village at the foot of Tomorri which was established about 300 years ago, according to legend, with only three families. Today, three families remain in this village.
Despite the natural beauties, the distance, the lack of services and the difficulties of coping with living have made people leave again.
Many villages, like Beçka, are already being abandoned. People leave aiming for a better life and better schooling opportunities for children. The only areas that have not moved are those near the cities, or those villages where tourism has been consolidated.
