Smiling, Queen Elizabeth II attended a Platinum Jubilee celebration in Windsor on Sunday, a few days after her delicate health and old age forced her to withdraw from the opening of the UK Parliament for the first time in almost 60 years .
The 96-year-old monarch used a stick to go to a show, near her home in Windsor Castle in west London.
The audience greeted the queen with applause while an extravagant horse parade led by Hollywood actors Tom Cruise and Helen Mirren also got the attention.
The Queen did not open parliament last week, the first time she has been absent from the event since 1963.
She was last seen in public in late March, at the Westminster Abbey memorial service for her late husband, Prince Philip.
At that event, she used a stick and asked for help to get to her place.
