Within 2030, the Albania-Greece interconnection line will be operational.
This was announced by the Minister of Infrastructure Belinda Balluku who received today in Tirana her Greek counterpart Kostas Skrekas.
Further strengthening of cooperation between the two countries in the energy sector was the focus of their meeting, at a time when the globe is facing an energy crisis.
Among other things, Minister Balluku said that on November 23 the Albanian energy exchange starts operating, where it is exactly a Greek consortium that has won the tender for the establishment of the electronic platform.
Its commissioning is expected to have a significant impact on increasing security of energy supply as well as market regulation.
