For about 120 minutes, Prime Minister Edi Rama from the SP headquarters clarified to the public and the international community that his harsh rhetoric on Saturday against the SPAK is not pressure on the new judiciary.
Reiterated the need for this new independent justice to be freed from any fears of the past.
“The guarantee that justice can freely enter the yard of the Socialist Party and do justice to anyone who shames this party, is us, we here, the leadership of the Socialist Party and this party itself, no one else, no one else. This party is the only entity in this country, the only one that has neither done, nor does not do, nor will not do, as long as I am here more than once, any pressure on justice. Until they give me some other subject, I remain with this thought. “Asking for more justice when vetting is 5 years old and SPAK is 3 years old does not mean putting pressure.”
To reinforce this guarantee of non-interference in the SPAK, the Prime Minister announced the handcuffing of two socialist mayors.
When talking about the need for a 360-degree investigation by SPAK, the Prime Minister referred to his predecessor Sali Berisha.
“What pressure is it to seek the investigation of a former president, of a former prime minister, declared non grata by the USA with the most serious possible accusations that are directly related to the activity of the institutions of this country. And to do so almost a year after the non grata declaration was made, and after the US Secretary of State has publicly demanded a statement that the institutions of a country, that is, of this country must do their job, the charge is strong, so direct , so nominal that there is nowhere to go and neither the faith nor the seriousness of the US can be questioned because it has been a year that we hear and that people hear that this is a conspiracy, which includes the State Department and nor is it questionable to believe in the seriousness of the new justice that these two are here in question. ”
Ulsi Manja, Minister of Justice, after mentioning that there are 197 judges and prosecutors left in the vetting, including 51 resigned, out of which only 19 are under investigation by SPAK, gave the alarm on how the sharks of justice can escape with impunity.
