TikTok introduces a new way for creators to make money.
According to foreign media, the Telegraph reports, TikTok’s plan is to share the profits with the biggest creators when certain videos appear next to their clip.
The program is similar to that used by the YouTube video service to pay its creators and the result can be a more significant payment.
The new program is called TIkTok Pulse and allows the display of ads with “4 percent of the most viewed clips on TikTok”. Creators with at least 100,000 followers will receive a share of the revenue when their clips enter the aforementioned program.
TikTok will share 50 percent of its advertising revenue with certain creators, which is close to what YouTube offers to creators, or 55 percent of its advertising revenue. The TikTok Pulse program will launch in June in the US and expand to other markets in the fall.
