YouTube star Kevin Samuels died Thursday after a series of rumors that went viral on social media.
Samuels was famous for giving various relationship advice and had 1.4 million subscribers.
Kevin Samuels’s death was confirmed by his mother, though he declined to give details of the event.
However, the mother found out about her son’s death through social media.
“It was a horrible thing for social media to point this out. I did not even know. “I was not even notified,” she told NBC News.
“All I am doing is asking people to pray for us.”
Several media outlets reported that Atlanta Police confirmed Samuels’s death in a statement.
The police report describes that a woman “met Samuels last night, came to his apartment and spent the night with him. “Early that morning, Samuels complained of chest pain and she tried to help him.”
Kevin was then transported to Piedmont Hospital.
