Prime Minister Edi Rama reiterated the problems within the EU following the enlargement process. Rama called the problems between Bulgaria and Northern Macedonia as a hostage-taking of Albania on the European path.
From the 18th Conference of Speakers of Parliaments of the Ionian Adriatic Initiative, Prime Minister Edi Rama once again expressed concern about the many problems with the European integration process. Albania declared the Prime Minister, there is no other way, he needs patience in this way.
“Albania is in a very, very strange situation, hostage to a deadlock between our neighbor, Northern Macedonia, and our friendly country, Bulgaria. It is one of those situations that only the European Union can create and there is no book, no experience or any measured explanation of how it can be handled. How can you remain hostage to a dispute between two entities or other countries? But, here it is, as Donald Trump would say. We are not thinking of giving up at all and we are not thinking of the so-called “Plan B” or “Plan C”. For Albania, plan A, B and C is only Europe. ”- said Rama
In his speech, Prime Minister Rama stressed that in our plans there is no second other than Europe and that we have a lot to give to the Region as problems can only create divisions.
