The UK has stated that it will provide further funding to assist vulnerable groups within Ukraine and on its borders.
Secretary of State Liz Truss announced in a statement that a 45 45m package will go to UN agencies and charities working to support those most at risk of abuse and harm.
“British aid is supporting the most vulnerable in Ukraine, especially women and children, who are at increased risk of sexual violence and exploitation,” she said.
Officials say the money will be distributed this way:
Milionë 15 million to go to UN Humanitarian Fund for Ukraine (UHF)
Milionë 15 million will go to UNICEF, the UN children’s agency
Milionë 10 million to fund humanitarian organizations in border countries to protect women and children fleeing
Milionë 5 million will go to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies in Ukraine
There will also be an additional 20 20 million in humanitarian aid for Ukrainian refugees in Poland.
