Dozens of citizens gathered in downtown Kiev this afternoon in protest, demanding that a humanitarian corridor be set up for civilians trapped in Mariupol.
The besieged southern city has faced relentless bombardment by Russian troops for weeks, with tens of thousands of people thought to be awaiting evacuation.
Most are without access to running water, food and medical supplies thus risking being affected by serious diseases like cholera as dozens of bodies are decomposing under the rubble.
