Clashes broke out between protesters and police forces in Thessaloniki, Greece, during demonstrations against a campus security law.
Local media report that 30 people were arrested after occupying the main building of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
The clashes began when police entered the building to disperse protesters who were in the university building for several hours.
Earlier this month, Greek lawmakers passed legislation that would allow police forces to take action on university campuses to stop illegal activities.
About 166 deputies voted in favor, while 132 voted against the bill.
Student unions and opposition parties criticized the new law, stressing that it violates their democratic rights on campus.
