Spring is one of the seasons when we have a hormonal imbalance. What is noticed is fatigue, nervousness or sadness. But what do mental health experts point out in this period.
Arjana Rreli, doctor: Anxiety conditions in the spring dominate, but recently we have seen a lot of psychosis, which are already more common in the younger generation. Psychoses are more related to traumatic problems, which start as a great pressure on the nervous system, and which then appear as thoughts, ideas that have nothing to do with reality.
At the community center where we provide the service we could complete a year with 4000-4500 visits in total. Today we are talking about 2500 visits and keep in mind, that we are only in April. The most at-risk ages are 20-40 years old, while we do not exclude the third age, which is suffering a lot of loneliness, is suffering very rapid changes, leading to problems that are mostly related to dementia.
If we refer to today, work until noon, I have made 7 visits with patients, coming for the first time. In these 7 patients, 6 were more anxious which is the most pronounced pathology and which has less complex to show, and 1 was case referred by family members, for psychosis.
