Recent satellite images from an area near Mariupol show that there are new mass graves.
Maxar Technologies published new satellite images where they said they showed more than 200 graves in a city near Mariupol, while Ukrainian officials accused that this is the work of Russians.
Following the release of the footage, the UN Office of Human Rights asked Moscow and Kiev to order the fighters to comply with international law.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said Russian forces control most of Mariupol, but Ukrainian troops continue to stay there and fight. On Thursday, the Russians claimed victory in the battle for Mariupol, although about 2,000 Ukrainians remain sheltered in an Azovstal factory.
Meanwhile the towns in Donbas were targeted by Russian fire overnight and the attacks disrupted efforts to evacuate civilians in one of the areas. Russian General Rustam Minnekayev said Moscow intended to take control of all of southern and eastern Ukraine, much broader war targets than it had previously acknowledged.
The general said Moscow intended to take Donbas, link it to the Crimean peninsula, and take control of all of southern Ukraine as far as a Russian-occupied separatist region of Moldova.
