Kosovo and Serbia did not agree to sign a final license agreement. From the all-day meeting in Brussels mediated by Miroslav Lajcak, the parties failed to agree on a solution to the issue.

Following the failure to reach an agreement, mediator Miroslav Lajak has invited the parties to meet again and at the same time be wary of actions that could destabilize the country.
From September 30, 2021 until Thursday, the temporary agreement was in force for covering with stickers the symbols on the license plates of the vehicles during the circulation in the territories of Kosovo and Serbia.
This agreement was reached a week before the blockade in northern Kosovo by local Serbs.
