American actor Johnny Depp has recently revealed that he did not see the cure for the movie starring “Pirates of the Caribbean” as he testified in court where he demands $ 50 million in damages from his ex-wife Amber Heard for defamation.
Heard has been sued for defamation by Depp after implying that he abused her in a 2018 article, where although she did not mention him by name, the actor’s lawyers say he has caused him to miss job offers from the allegations.
In his testimony yesterday in the court of Virginia, when the actor was asked how his film came out, he replied that “he had not seen it”.
Depp plays the role of Captain Jack Sparrow in the film who then saves 4 more in subsequent series.
The conversation about the film started when Depp was asked about his famous career and role.
“Cartoon movie actors can throw in a lot of things and we can’t,” he told the jury. “Captain Jack Sparrow can do things I could never do myself, he can say things I can not say.”
“But when completed he seems to be on a good mission, I believed he is a character that can be accepted by both children and the elderly, kind of like the Bugs Bunny bunny,” he added.
Speaking about the reactions to the movie script, Depp said: “I think it has all the features of a Disney movie, a three-act predictable structure.”
The actor then says that he never watches the movies where he plays himself.
“No, I have not seen the film, but I believe it went well. “They wanted to go on longer and I had no problem, I knew the character well, maybe better than the writers, and when that happens you are more loyal to him and you can add your own words.”
