Dashamir Çela’s family starts work in the village of Samaticë in the municipality of Dimal, at 4 o’clock in the morning, to leave it only in the late evening hours.
He returned from the Netherlands a few years ago and with the money he saved opened this family farm, which has now turned into a black hole for him. All the family savings have disappeared, but they have not even been able to meet the needs.
“I get up every day at 4 without 10 in the morning, I work every day without a break and in the end I have nothing left for the children. How can I buy a pair of children’s sneakers “said the farmer, Dashamir Çela
This family has been questioned not only for survival, but also for the possibility of fleeing the country again.
“I have no choice but to close it and leave. I have tried hard, but now I am giving up. There are many costs “said the farmer, Dashamir Çela
The price of grain for animals has increased by 100% compared to 1 year ago. As a result of the overall increase in the prices of agricultural inputs, oil and other products that go to livestock, Dashamiri has started and reduces the feed he gives to cows. But, this affects the production.
“Look what food I give the cow, this straw here. “As a result, she does not give me milk,” said the farmer, Dashamir Çela
Dashamiri points out that just like him there are dozens of others in the area who are abandoning their farms. The amount of milk processed in the factory located in this area is also an indicator. It currently processes 450 tons of milk per day, from 800-1000 tons which is the capacity.
Ironically, he was fined a building permit for a stable by the Dimal municipality, burning a 250,000-euro fund that benefited him from the IPARD program. After spending 10 thousand euros for the preparation of documentation and application file, IPARD declared it the winner, but the municipality refused the permit, burning the funds, which would restore the continuity of this farm.
“I spent all that money, I applied for a permit, because I wanted to build it a little more modern than what I have, but after the winner was announced, the municipality of Dimal refused my permit, claiming that it should be built 500 meters away from the residential area. But where do we have the opportunity to build 500 meters away from the residential area, because here we are all close together “said the farmer, Dashamir Çela.
