Russian President Vladimir Putin has described as “own goal” the sanctions imposed by the US and the EU on his country, after the start of the war in Ukraine.
Putin said the sanctions would worsen the West’s economy.
As for the economy in Russia, he said inflation was stabilizing and that retail demand in the country had normalized, reports Reuters.
Western countries have imposed tough sanctions on Russia for its invasion of Ukraine, blocking exports and many other restrictions.
