The Ukrainian Armed Forces have announced today that Russian soldiers have been exchanged with Ukrainians in the Kherson region of southern Ukraine.
Officials say four Russian prisoners have been exchanged for five Ukrainian troops in Posad-Pokrovske after hours of negotiations.
The latest exchanges between Russian prisoners and Ukrainian soldiers took place in late February, but there is still no exact number of prisoners held by either side in total.
Kherson was one of the first major Ukrainian cities to fall to Russia. It is a city of strategic value, lying on both the Dnieper River and the Black Sea, and home to more than 280,000 people.
However, the Pentagon has recently claimed that Ukraine has regained part of this territory.
