A woman faces murder charges in Maryland, USA after she pressed to death with her car a man who had proposed to her to have sex, police announced.
Katie Foster, 25, is charged with first-degree murder after leaving 52-year-old Joseph Dawson dead on Sunday after hitting her after an argument they had, Baltimore police said.
Dawson was taken to hospital but later pronounced dead, as when he arrived police were found crushed under his car, the local network wrote. WBAL-TV reported.
Foster told police he had smoked cocaine with Dawson earlier but then offered to have sex with him. According to the testimony she had refused and had gotten into another man’s car.
But Dawson had chased the duo into the car, according to Foster, before getting out of his car and starting a fight with the man in the car with her, indictment documents say.
Foster had therefore boarded Dason’s car, violated the throttle and crashed the man to death, investigators said.
“We do not believe this was an accident,” said Baltimore investigator Trae Corbin. “We believe it is a deliberate act committed by Ms. Foster.”
Foster, who rejected the parole application, said at the time of the incident she was trying to escape from Dawson. Her trial is set for May 6, the Baltimore Sun.
