“Albania Live” has asked people on the streets about the government’s initiative to legalize cannabis. Some of them are pro, but there are also those who oppose or have no opinion on this issue.
Here is what some of them said:
“To be legalized this year, as tobacco is. Let people work. “If the doctor gives it to me, I will take it, of course.”
“If you need medicine, well, it works.”
“It’s a double-edged sword. It may or may not have benefited. It could lead to a slight increase in salaries. “
“It’s normal, yes, to do it like Jamaica. “When European countries have it, so do we.”
Recall that the government, in one of the questions of the National Council, sought answers from Albanians whether Albania should cultivate, process and export cannabis in a controlled manner for medical purposes.
According to the response data announced by the Prime Minister himself, 61% answered positively. 29 negatively and 10% do not know.
“We will proceed as the citizens said, we will legalize cannabis for medical use”, said Rama.
There are still no details on what medical legalization will bring. Meanwhile, at Saturday’s conference, after the end of the SP Congress, Rama said that they will legalize cannabis for personal use if the citizens want it.
