The UK intelligence has informed that Russian troops have now completely withdrawn from the north of Ukraine, returning to the north.
Some of those units will be transferred to eastern Ukraine to fight in the Donbas. But many of the forces will need to be supplied with weapons and other troops before resuming attacks.
The statement said Russian shelling of cities in eastern and southern Ukraine continued and Russian troops advanced south of the strategically important city of Izyum.
