An education worker, found guilty of sexual ‘predation’ by the court, who had sex with a teenage boy whom she seduced by saying “age is just a number” admitted remorse for the relationship with the 15-year-old and the court has saving prison in Britain.
Rebecca Williams had admitted to sending flirtatious messages to the underage teenager and then invited her to her home in Criccieth, north Wales, where she had sex with him.
The 21-year-old is said to be already working with a construction company to “maintain a low profile” as she told friends that she “regrets her actions” after “paying a high price for mistakes”.
Becky says she knows what she did is wrong and has repented said a friend of hers for the daily The Sun..
“She wants to turn back time but she knows she can not. “She suffered a lot of depression as a result of losing her career and the case in court”, says the friend of the abuser, adding that she has changed her career to continue with her life.
The assistant teacher had been in contact with the juvenile and the messages between them had escalated, as was said in court.
Williams had taken the 15-year-old in her car one weekend and taken her home. The court was told that they had gone to the television together but a little later the accused had taken the victim to the bedroom, where he had incited her to have sex.
The 15-year-old boy had been staying there all night.
The prosecutor said Williams had later written to the young man to meet again.
Prosecutor Edwards said: “Rumors started circulating that the employee had started a relationship with a student and staff leaders contacted her asking for information. “Police and social services were later notified and the boy confessed that they had had sexual intercourse.”
Defense attorney Jemma Gordon said Williams was questioned early last year and had pleaded guilty.
Gordon said: “She is already in a new relationship and that has helped her.”
But Judge Saffman said Williams had knowingly seduced the young man: “You knew what you were doing and you were trying to get him to have sex with you.”
“The boy had terminated the relationship but the accused had insisted on its continuation. “Some of the messages were even sent from the school premises, which is even more serious.”
After his release Williams refused to comment on the media.
